The project is scheduled to be implemented in the second quarter of 2024 and completed by October, with AI-powered cameras in key areas to manage traffic and reduce congestion more efficiently. Mobile apps will be introduced to provide real-time updates on flight departures and assist passengers in airport navigation.  

To ensure convenience and minimize waiting times for most users, a new website will provide multilingual information and installed touch-screen systems throughout the terminal, helping travelers with updated information and giving service assessments. 

AHT’s Deputy General Director, Do Trong Hau, emphasized that the success of digital transformation lies not in the most advanced technology but in how they are applied. Collaborating with FPT Software sets the terminal under tailored solutions to improve Da Nang’s tourism industry. The terminal, which received a 5-star rating from Skytrax in January 2024, is already equipped with modern features like self-check-in kiosks, auto gates, and a self-service bag drop system. These upgrades have listed Da Nang as one of the most advanced in Vietnam, recognized alongside Noi Bai International Airport as the world’s top 100 airports in 2024.

This ongoing digital transformation promises to position Da Nang Airport further as a leader in smart aviation services.
