On the 45th anniversary of its founding, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (March 24, 1979 – March 24, 2024) held a grand ceremony to mark its journey of growth and development. The event was an opportunity to honor generations of teachers and students, reflect on past achievements, and commit to ongoing progress to meet societal trust and expectations.

VAA has overcome numerous challenges to establish a solid foundation in terms of infrastructure, faculty, and advanced training programs along with the profound mission: “To train high-quality human resources; to conduct scientific research, provide consultancy, and transfer aviation technology and other technical and economic sectors to international standards for Vietnam and the region.”

By 2024, VAA offers 22 undergraduate majors, 4 associate degree programs, and 2 postgraduate programs, serving nearly 10,000 students and trainees.  Until now, over 50,000 students and trainees have successfully graduated from VAA.

Through 45 years of establishment, VAA supports young talents reaching new peaks in their career path

VAA facilities have become increasingly modern, with rapid improvements in amenities, and each faculty has grown significantly. From its initial small group of staff and lecturers, the number has now exceeded 500, with 30% being professors, associate professors, and PhDs. Majorly of VAA lecturers have been trained at reputable institutions both domestically and internationally, and they continuously enhance their professional and technical skills.

In the jubilant atmosphere of celebrating the 45th anniversary, VAA also organized a sports festival involving all staff, employees, and students. The competitions were in great enthusiasm, excitement, and intensity, coupled with fun and humor, under the vibrant support of the audience.

The anniversary celebration and sports festival were not only occasions for members of the Academy to meet and interact but also opportunities to reflect on the past journey and together aim for a future of sustainable development and greater success. This contributes to strengthening and advancing Vietnam’s aviation sector.
