Since early 2024, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) has launched an intensive training program tailored for key personnel at the Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV). The program is designed to equip key professionals with advanced experience in Airport Design, Operations and Ground Technical Services, in hand to address evolving demand amid rapidly changing aviation infrastructure.
The industry has undergone unprecedented disruptions since COVID-19, making flexibility and adaptability the cornerstone for long-term success. Developed in collaboration with To70 and Groupe ADP experts to deliver practical applications with global best practices. The 7-day curriculum covers critical areas such as:
- Airport Infrastructure & Master Planning – Shifting from runaway expansions to long-term sustainability strategies
- Passenger Terminal Design – Incorporating modern layouts and self-service technologies to enhance passenger experiences
- Airside & Landside Coordination – Optimizing aircraft movements, baggage handling, and passenger flow to maximize efficiency
- IOSA and ISAGO compliance – Ensuring adherence to international safety and operational standards

Beyond theoretical learning, the course provides hands-on reality at Vietnam’s major airports. Participants will gain insight into streamlining airport logistics, refining passenger services, and applying innovative solutions to real-time scenarios. As expressed by an attendee: “The course offers a highly practical approach to exploring airport characteristics and current challenges, from that, we can enhance our decision-making process”. Another participant shared: “Learning from international experts has brought us the tools to improve efficiency, particularly in major projects like Tan Son Nhat’s expansion and refinements in Noi Bai and Da Nang”.
With Vietnam’s aviation sector posed to continued growth, professional training remains key to sustaining progress. The partnership with ACV underscores the importance of knowledge-driven leadership in handling industry challenges. Innovative initiatives from global airports will ensure local airport management remains on track with efficiency, sustainability, and international competitiveness.
