The Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) proudly welcomed representatives from the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) to Vietnam, fostering a collaborative dialogue on advancing aviation education.
UHI, a renowned institution in Scotland, comprises a partnership of academic and research centers distributed across the Highlands and Islands, Moray, and Perthshire. With its foundation rooted in 2011, UHI has established itself as a leader in innovative, research-driven education, offering a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programs tailored to modern industries’ needs
During the visit, the two institutions engaged in discussions to deepen their cooperation in developing a Master of Aviation Management program. This initiative aims to equip students with advanced expertise in aviation operations and leadership, meeting the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field. Additionally, UHI proposed training opportunities for VAA lecturers to enhance their competencies in line with international teaching standards, ensuring the Academy remains a leader in aviation education in Vietnam.
As part of the visit, VAA showcased its state-of-the-art facilities that support its commitment to hands-on learning and professional development. The delegation toured the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Simulation Rooms and Aerodrome Control Services Simulation Room, which provide immersive, realistic environments for students to develop critical operational skills. These facilities, combined with a dedicated faculty and innovative curriculum, position VAA as a premier institution for aviation training in Southeast Asia.
The visit highlights the shared vision of VAA and UHI in fostering academic excellence and preparing students to excel in the global aviation industry.
